I don’t say this lightly but these last few months have been some of the most difficult times to trade in the history of the stock market.

When you focus on same-day moves, you don’t have to worry about what headline breaks over the weekend or the middle of the night. You’re in and out before the risk materializes. You’re not holding through earnings surprises or geopolitical shocks that drop after the bell.
That’s the advantage. You’re trading the move, not the overnight risk.
Where the Money Is — and Where It Isn’t
That’s where the money is right now and where I see it for the foreseeable future.
I’m not saying swing trading is dead forever, certainly not. But in this market environment, it’s a grind. The best setup in the world won’t save you if a headline hits at 2 a.m.
So I’m staying focused on what works: short-term moves, clean entries, defined exits and no overnight exposure. If the market wants to hand me an intraday move, I’ll take it. But I’m not giving it the chance to take that move back while I sleep.
This is about survival first — and opportunity second. Right now, both point in the same direction.
