Silver still tops my list in the metals space — not because of some macro theory or gold correlation, but because the technicals make sense and the timing looks right.
We’ve already had a strong run, but if silver pulls back to $29 and reclaims recent highs, that alone is an 18% to 19% move.
And that’s just the start.
Watch the $35 Level
Silver is back above $33 today, up 2%, and that $35 level is massive. It’s the same resistance area that held back silver in 2011 and again in 1980. If we break through that zone, this trade has the potential to rip a lot higher — and the risk-reward gets even better on the breakout.
I don’t need silver to become some inflation hedge or geopolitical safe haven. I just need price action to cooperate around these levels, and I’ll trade it. A pullback into support would be an ideal entry — but I’ll be watching for confirmation regardless.
Why I Favor Silver Over Gold
Gold had a huge stretch recently — more than 20% above its 200-day moving average — and technically, it looked exhausted. Silver hasn’t gone as parabolic.
If gold pulls back and sets up a reentry, great. But silver looks more reasonable from a setup standpoint and offers cleaner structure for targeting upside moves.
If we can get back above $35 and hold, there’s a real shot silver can retest 2011 highs. That’s the kind of trade I want to be positioned for — and why silver is still my favorite play in the metals market right now.
