Editor’s Note: NVDA stock plummeted yesterday, but Jack Carter says it might not last for long… check out his latest briefing here
Imagine someone walking into a group of screaming, hyperactive children and yelling, “ice cream truck!”
Then leading those kids outside…
Only for there to be no ice cream truck at all.
How would the kids react?
Well, you’re finding out how they’d react in real time in the stock market this week.
The President and the White House are talking a lot about countries that are coming to them wanting to make deals.
They’re trying to offer ice cream to investors to distract them… but if there’s no actual ice cream, it won’t work for very long.
It’s time for them to start announcing the deals.
Negotiating in itself isn’t worth anything.
The administration must prove that it intends to use these tariffs to push towards a better trade policy with our allies.
If the White House wants to isolate and turn up the heat on China, they can’t also be alienating their friends and driving them toward China.
President Trump is happy to redirect his ire to Jerome Powell, trying to pass for a market crash that is entirely of his creation to the Fed Chairman.
It’s not going to work.
If President Trump and his Administration want to settle the markets, they need to actually settle their tariff plans and share that plan with the public.
Then, they need to actually start striking and announcing these fabled “deals” they keep talking about.
They need to deliver the ice cream.
Until they do, the market chaos is going to continue, and no one is going to point the finger at anyone but them.
To your prosperity,
