Everybody wants to spend your money

Editor’s Note: With the Fed’s super-sized rate cut last week, Geof Smith tells us that gold has just triggered a HUGE breakout signal. But he warns: DO NOT buy and hold gold until you see how he plans to play it.

In this election, there are a lot of issues on the table that could cause you to vote for either party.

Issues like immigration, the economy, gun control, abortion, etc…

But one thing won’t be up for debate: the old, forgotten phrase “fiscal responsibility.”

Because everybody, left, right, and center, wants to spend your money.

This morning, I read an article on Politico about how the Biden climate chief is racing to spend the money earmarked for green energy from the Inflation Reduction Act.

Ali Zaidi’s belief is essentially: “If we spend it fast enough, Trump can’t pull it back.”

So hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer money is being spent recklessly all because of political timing and convenience.

But this isn’t a Left issue. It’s a political issue.

If President Trump is re-elected, his administration will grow the deficit, just like he did in his first term, even before the pandemic.

There’s no sense of restraint anymore from anyone on any side of the aisle. They all promise to spend more money on pork projects because they know it’s the easiest way to win votes.

“Fiscal responsibility” isn’t a principle anymore. It’s just something nice you say to make yourself feel better, like “oh, I’ll go to the gym in the morning” or “no, I think that lime green Kia Soul was a great purchase.”

Politicians know that the more money they promise to spend, the more votes they can essentially buy, and even though it’s the voters’ money, we fall for it every time.

And I don’t know that there’s any fixing that at this point…

But it does let me beat an old drum that I haven’t beat for a while:

No one. Absolutely no one. Cares more about your money than you do.

So stop fooling yourself otherwise.

The experts here at ProsperityPub all agree with this — and they want to help you reach your full potential with your own money.

Yes, the government is still gonna spend it…

But if you are pushing yourself towards your financial goals, and watching over your own finances, then you don’t have to sweat it as much.

Nothing is stopping Washington from spending your money. The best thing you can do is to have more of it, so their impact is minimized.

Let’s get after it this week!

To your Prosperity,
