It’s a potentially big week for Nvidia (NVDA) with CES 2025 kicking off on Tuesday, and shares are off and running this morning, up about 5% in the first couple of hours of trading.
If you missed my class on Sunday, I’ll be live at 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday ahead of Nvidia’s big announcement. And then on Thursday during my weekly livestream, “Opening Playbook,” we’ll do some live trading!
Not only that, but Bitcoin is back up above $100k and up over 10% the past week…
So it’s shaping up to be a big, BIG week — join me here on Tuesday!
While just about everything is looking up today, we’re still not out of the head-and-shoulders pattern that formed in the S&P 500, which is bearish. So while the gap up might be great so far, it’s too early to start celebrating.
I’d love to see things pop back to all-time highs, but I also wouldn’t mind a sell-off in the S&P 500 (SPY) — currently just shy of $600 — down to about $575 so I could buy more.
I believe right now Wall Street wants to see STRONG numbers in Wednesday’s Jobless Claims since the Fed has made its case for fewer rate cuts…
Weak numbers may lead to a little more fear that the Fed has gone “too high, too long” with rates.

In other news… I’m still holding faithful to my insurance stocks — and adding in this dip — but they are really taking their sweet, sweet time to bounce back… I’m going to stay patient but as of right now, momentum is negative.
