What happened at Sawgrass was bigger than trading setups
Hey folks,
Still catching my breath after an incredible week in Ponte Vedra.
If you’ve never been TBUZ’s annual “Sawgrass” conference, it’s hard to describe the energy in the room.
Traders from all over the country, different backgrounds, different levels of experience, all coming together with one goal: to get better at trading.
This year’s group was one of the sharpest I’ve seen.
But of course they are — a lot of them are repeat attendees, and every year they come back stronger.
You can actually see the progress year over year. The questions get more specific, the confidence grows, and the way they approach the markets just keeps improving.
We spent two full days walking through the markets live — tracking setups, responding to news, and staying focused on what really matters: price action.
Like TBUZ always says, “just follow the numbers.” And that’s what we did.
I’m proud to say I’ve been part of this event for years, and I’ve never seen as many “lightbulb moments” as I saw this week. Folks were locked in. The questions were thoughtful. The growth was real.
And then there was a moment none of us will forget.
One of Tom’s longtime students, Carol — who flew in all the way from California — surprised TBUZ with an original canvas painting of him. Carried it across the country and everything.
When she handed it to him, he was genuinely speechless. (If you know Tom, that rarely happens.)
It was funny and moving all at once — the kind of moment you just don’t get over Zoom.
Anyway, Tom’s already back to work, and I’ve got to head back to Alabama.
But I didn’t want to let the week pass without saying thank you — to the students, to the team, and to everyone who helped make this one special.
